Verbatim Proofreading
For court reporting, I will correct for punctuation and spelling, leaving you with verbatim text that also flags inconsistencies and typographical errors. When requested, attorney language can be marked to address grammatical difficulties. Errata sheets available.
Editorial Proofreading
I will mark wording problems and correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and typographical errors.
Copyediting
I will correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and stylistic errors. I will also suggest changes to give your entire document a consistent style. 
Comprehensive Editing
In addition to all warranted copyediting changes, I will rework awkwardly written sentences and paragraphs, returning an easy-to-read document that retains your original meaning. 
Writing
I will convert your rough draft or technical requirements into a well-written document. 
Please note that I do not offer writing services to students.
Technical Editing
In addition to editing the words in your technical document, I will verify consistent use of nomenclature, variables, tables, figures and equations. I will also check for overuse of jargon and otherwise make sure that your document is technically precise. I will leave verifying derivations and analyses to you, the expert.

Web Editing
I can proofread or edit some or all of your Web site. Just tell me your URL and what editorial service you'd like me to perform. In addition to wording problems, I'll alert you to phrases that are already out-of-date, or likely to become so. I will determine whether your site has any internal broken links, and if requested, check that other sites you link to are still active and correct.

Rates

For court reporting work, I charge by the page. For other editorial services, I charge a competitive hourly rate. As each writer and document are unique, job cost depends on how much or how little editing or proofreading is required.
